TECHNOPATH is part of the Diploma Healthcare Group and is owned by Diploma PLC (DPLM), a FTSE 250 company. We are a specialised, value adding distributor focused on two key areas, Laboratory Sciences and Medical Devices. The Laboratory Sciences Division provides specialised quality control/assurance and testing modalities to the Clinical Pathology, Pharma, Life Sciences, Food and Dairy sectors. The Medical Division provides innovative medical devices and services to the Acute Hospital, Community Care and Blood Technology sectors.
Our aim is simple; we want to deliver exceptional solutions to our customers enabling them to achieve outstanding results. We form long-term partnerships with globally leading manufacturers, many of whom are leaders in their fields. Our role is to provide exceptional localised service levels that ensure we are not just supplying a product but rather providing solutions that help our customers to deliver outstanding results. We achieve this by working in close partnership with our customers to understand, at a detailed level, how we can help them. Developing this understanding and putting in place the necessary specialised resources is what enables us to create and implement customised solutions that deliver improved outcomes.
Some examples of our customised service solutions are:
Multichem LOT Sequester Management Program for our Clinical Chemistry Third-Party QC, whereby each of our customers is allocated a specific LOT for an agreed defined period; this best in class service is managed by a dedicated LOT Sequester Manager ensuring better use of resources and improved outcomes for our pathology laboratory customers.
Nurse & Patient Support Service specifically for our Enteral Feeding product portfolio (only available in the Republic of Ireland). Our nursing team offers educational support to nursing staff and ‘in the home’ support directly to patients discharged to the community setting on an enteral feeding device supplied by TECHNOPATH. This service not alone offers significant and much welcomed support to these patients and their carers but also reduces rehospitalisations, which has significant benefits for the patients, their carers and healthcare providers.

OUR TEAMS
Having fit for purpose resources and the right ‘in house’ skill sets is key to being able to provide customers with exceptional product and service solutions. The entire TECHNOPATH team is dedicated to delivering on our purpose to help customers achieve outstanding results. At our headquarters we have a great team of specialised people who support our highly knowledgeable and experienced field based sales, clinical engineering and nursing teams. Our teams include dedicated supply chain management, quality management, customer support & sales order processing, after sales support, LOT sequester management, procurement, and marketing personnel supported by an experienced senior leadership team.
OUR FACILITIES
Our headquarters and specialised supply chain operation is based in the beautiful town of Ballina, Co. Tipperary, Ireland. Our purpose built 7000 sq ft warehouse, with temperature controlled storage facilities, is organised to deliver product at ambient, 2°C to 8°C, 15°C to 25°C and <-20°C. Our operations are GTIN (GS1) compatible and certified to ISO 13485, ISO 9001 and GDP certified by the HPRA (IRE) to meet the exacting needs of the Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, Food, Dairy and Life Science customers that we serve.

TECHNOPATH Distribution endeavours to support local and national charitable organisations, particularly those that are closely linked to the sectors we operate in. This holiday season, we have selected charities that support causes in our local community (Ballina/Killaloe). We also support those charities that our UK team members work closely with throughout the year. Finally, we also choose charities that focus on mental health both in Ireland and the UK because we believe that everyone experiencing a mental health problem should be able to access excellent mental health services.
The Alzheimer Society of Ireland is the leading dementia specific service provider in Ireland. The Alzheimer Society of Ireland works across the country in the heart of local communities providing dementia specific services and supports and advocating for the rights and needs of all people living with dementia and their carers. Our local respite centre in Ballina is Watermans Lodge.
The Jack & Jill Children’s Foundation offer a child and family centred care service and believes that families should be supported to care for their children in their own homes.
We provide a professional one-to-one therapeutic service to people who are in suicidal distress, those who engage in self-harm, and those bereaved by suicide. All of our services are provided free of charge and no referral is needed.
We provide advise and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem. We campaign to improve services, raise awareness and promote understanding.
We won’t give up until everyone experiencing a mental health problem gets support and respect.
Focus4Hope Supports the homeless, the elderly, the vulnerable, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse.
The PBC Foundation is the only UK organisation exclusively dedicated to providing support and information to those affected by PBC.
Our idea is that everyone deserves a warm fire, a full Christmas dinner and a present under the tree from Santa. This is where we come in.
