SEEKER^® is the first FDA-authorised and CE-marked newborn screening platform for lysosomal storage disorders. SEEKER^® quantitatively measures the activity of lysosomal enzymes from newborn dried blood spot specimens. Reduced activity of these enzymes may be indicative of:

MPS I • Pompe • Gaucher • Fabry

Technology

Powered by digital microfluidics technology, Baebies SEEKER^® provides newborn screening results in under 3 hours for multiple LSDs from a single DBS punch.

SEEKER’s first tier enzymatic assay results can be paired with second tier genetic sequencing to reduce false positives, preventing unnecessary family anxiety.

• Smaller – The technology requires a smaller sample volume from the patient and uses less reagent. Instruments are much smaller and more cost effective.
• Faster – Micro-volumes and a fully automated system mean faster time to results. Multiple assay protocols are performed in parallel.
• Capable – Multiple assays, including different assay types, can be multiplexed together on the same cartridge, using the same sample simultaneously. Each assay is spatially independent, so conditions can be optimised for each assay.
